Karen Gillan was surprised by GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 post-credits scenes

The fans knew when we were watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3was the climactic finale to the writer-director’s epic trilogy James Gunn we decided to tell, and with him accepting the job of leading the cinematic universe at DC Studios, we knew it would be a while before he returned to direct something for Marvel. So we were expecting an ending wrapped up in a bow, but instead we got some post-credits scenes that have us absolutely excited for more Guardians of the Galaxy adventures!

In a recent interview with THR, franchise actress Karen Gillan, who plays Nebula in the films, was asked what she thought of the scenes, namely the one where we see the announcement that “The legendary Star-Lord will return.” Gillan explained that she was surprised by the news, saying:

“No, I don’t remember seeing it in the script. So either I have a bad memory or it wasn’t there. So it was pretty surprising, but it was also cool. I thought, ‘Okay, what’s the plan here?'”

When asked if she thinks Nebula and Drax will last long in their parental roles in Knowhere, she responded:

“Yes, I like to think so. Nebula has a real purpose now, and is a very important part of healing. He has been through so much and now he can finally accept love and show love towards other people. So the last phase of all that healing is helping other people, and that’s exactly what he’s doing.”

With Gunn moving to co-run DC Studios with producer Peter Safran, Gillan has openly stated that she would love to play Poison Ivy for her former director, but after ten years of work that he has already provided her, she won’t insist. him on the subject.

“The fact that Nebula has turned into ten years of work is the best thing that has happened to me. So I like to leave things to the universe a little bit and see what happens, but I would absolutely love to work with James again. He is the best.”

Whatever happens with Nebula, Star-Lord, and the rest of the Guardians, I just hope we see them again. The movies are great and the Holiday Special is now a favorite part of our family’s celebrations, so anything else they throw at us from here is just gravy.
