On March 15, the head of the Satire Theater and People’s Artist Alexander Shirvindt passed away at the age of 90. There was a farewell ceremony with the star today. This was reported by TASS and Kommersant.

The coffin was placed on the stage of the theater where Alexander Anatolyevich had served since the 1970s. Many fans, colleagues and students lined up at the entrance. Meanwhile, there were so many people who wanted to send the artist off on his last journey that they lined up towards the Arc de Triomphe.

Igor Kostolevsky, Vera Alentova, Mikhail Shvydkoy, Vladimir Vinokur, Nikas Safronov, Maxim Averin, Klara Novikova, Valery Barinov and many others were among those present.

Let us remind you that Alexander Shirvindt’s health problems have worsened in recent years. Information increasingly emerged that he was hospitalized for heart disease. Alexander Anatolyevich is known for his roles in the films “The Irony of Fate”, “Three in a Boat, Not Counting the Dog”, “Circus Princess”, “Station for Two” and other films.
