It’s a little early for Christmas, isn’t it? Almost 10 years after the end of the series and its sixth season, and after two films shown in cinemas, the Crawley family and their servants would return to Downton Abbey for a new (and final?) season.
Downton Abbey, season 7: an unexpected recovery
We all mourned the English series a bit, after the brilliant finale of the sixth season and the two films broadcast on the big screen. Yet, according to l Daily email, filming of the seventh season has already begun, in great secrecy. A source close to the project said it from the columns of the British newspaper:
Filming started a few weeks ago, but it’s all very, very secret. Some people working on this project have never seen such secrecy. People working on set had to sign non-disclosure agreements not to reveal anything, but there’s a lot of excitement about the return of Downton.
As for the casting, we don’t know more at the moment. We just have to keep our fingers crossed to see it again Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle DockeryOR Laura Carmichaeleven though it almost goes without saying that it’s great Maggie Smith he shouldn’t be part of the cast. According to Daily emailthe season 7 broadcast of Downton Abbey it could be scheduled for later this year. A beautiful Christmas gift, don’t you think?
