Actor Sylvester Stallone talked about who he thinks is worthy of playing the new Rambo. He told this to TV host Jimmy Kimmel.
The actor believes that Ryan Gosling would be the ideal candidate for the lead role if the producers decide to return to the series. Meanwhile, Sylvester had previously publicly stated that he wanted to see a version of the action movie with Gosling, but did not explain his reasons.
“I met Ryan Gosling for dinner. Frankly, none of us are alike. He’s handsome, I’m not. Really. Picture me as Ken, nothing good will come of it. Ryan told me that he was influenced by Rambo as a child, dressing like him and going to school that way. He was sent away, but that didn’t stop him from loving the hero. And all evening he talked about how many memories he had of Rambo. And then I decided there was something to it. “What if I hand over the baton one day, let him take the role, because he loves this character so much,” Stallone admitted.
