Let’s talk about the latest trend in more detail: we are talking about the aesthetics of Dark Academia, which did not appear yesterday, but does not lose its popularity today.

The “dark academics” genre has been around on the internet since the days of Tumblr (read: a long time ago). Of course, anyone can adhere to the rules of this trend, whether they are studying or not. Dark Academia’s followers aren’t just students who like to abide by the strict dress code. They are true intellectuals; They are passionate about learning, classical literature and art. And here we will say once again that creating images in this style does not require the same preparation as real “dark academics”, but you still need to delve into their aesthetics. Adherents of this trend combine two independent styles: preppy and gothic.
