“Little Women” star Saoirse Ronan could have starred in “Barbie” but was rejected due to disagreements

Saoirse Ronan, who plays the character Jo March in the TV series Little Women, announced that she took part in the Barbie movie directed by Greta Gerwig. However, she had to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts. She said this in an interview with Variety.

The actor confessed what role he should play in the blockbuster movie. “I was definitely going to be Weird Barbie,” she said. “I don’t know how I would take this, but I could be Kate McKinnon (the actress who plays Weird Barbie). Note ed.) and that would be great,” he admitted.

Meanwhile, Saoyse talked about how she saw the stage during her performance. “It was weird, I guess I would be the weird girl who talks to herself, always keeps her dog close, talks to it, doesn’t pay attention to anyone,” the girl shared.

Let’s remember that Saoirse Ronan was already working with Barbie director Greta Gerwig during the filming of Little Women. Its premiere took place on December 7, 2019, and the film grossed $216.9 million at the box office.
