La Poudre listeners will not be left orphaned! After having marked contemporary feminism with her emblematic podcast launched in 2016, Lauren Bastide has launched a new challenge: talking about mental health, without filters.
Folie Douce, what is it?
“Folie Douce” is a dive into the world of mental health with the aim of breaking all the taboos that compartmentalize it.
Addressing mental health, according to Lauren Bastide, is making a comeback challenge social norms that marginalize those who do not conform to them. “Folie Douce” intends to question the notions of madness and normality, thus engaging a social and political perspective on mental health. Hosting the podcast on Instagram, Lauren Bastide asks the questions that will be cornerstones of her show:
Why, when people ask us if we are okay, the only correct answer is yes? Why doesn’t anyone say they are followed by a psychologist, why is it still shameful to suffer from depression, suffer from mental disorders or addictions? Why is mental health still taboo?

Sweet madness, when does it come out?
The teaser of this new project is already available on all platforms. The first episodes will be broadcast from February 1, with a frequency of one episode every two weeks.
And that’s not all: in addition to the podcast, “Folie Douce” offers a newsletter offering advice on mental health and book recommendations, cultural content and podcasts.
