When I was a child, my mother often said that you should never wash yourself when you are sick. We are adults now, but we still continue to follow this rule. Is it worth it?
Actually, it all depends on your situation. During illness (at high temperature and its decrease), toxins appear along with sweat and settle on the skin. Therefore it needs to be cleaned. But trusting in your own goodness.
If your body temperature is high (above 37.5-38 degrees Celsius) and your general condition is poor, you should not take a shower. It is better to alternate water procedures with rubbing with a damp, warm towel. Hot water can raise your temperature even higher and will put additional stress on your cardiovascular system as your body fights disease.
If you feel satisfied and have no or very little fever, you can take a warm shower. However, you should not get carried away and spend more than 10 minutes in the bathroom.
