Gervais was supposed to receive his statuette for a special stand-up gig for the Netflix service “Ricky Gervais: Armageddon.” Meanwhile, other comedians also competed for the award and wanted to receive it. They include actor Chris Rock, actress Wanda Sykes and host Trevor Noah.
