Netflix UK ratings: Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon puts Ricky Gervais to the sword this holiday season

It may have been panned by critics, but Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire was by far the most watched title over the holidays among UK Netflix subscribers.

According to nights.tv’s official UK streaming ratings, Zack Snyder’s space opera was watched by 16.5 million people in the seven days following its launch on December 21.

Performance, including viewing on mobile devices, will almost certainly be good Rebel Moon one of the best performing titles on Netflix in the UK last year.

The UK figures are supported by global data from Netflix, which shows that Snyder’s sci-fi epic had almost 24 million views in its first four days.

Back in Britain, Rebel Moon had more than 10 million viewers before Ricky Gervais Armageddon Stand-up special that certainly didn’t go bad.

The comedy show was watched by 6 million Britons in the week after its premiere on December 25, according to Overnights.tv, which sources data from Barb, Britain’s official ratings research body.

Critics didn’t think about it Armageddon is some of Gervais’ best stand-up work, but he remains an audience banker for Netflix.

The other film that had a strong showing on Netflix in December was Leave the world behind. The dystopian thriller starring Julia Roberts was streamed by almost 9 million Brits in its first seven days.
