Dua Lipa has dropped a music video despite spending hundreds of thousands of pounds to produce it after deciding it was too “insensitive” to release amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

The video was filmed in September, before the Hamas invasion on October 7eand Lipa has now withdrawn the video as part of a series of meetings with her management team.
The sun quotes an insider about the project: “At its core, the video was playful, but contained themes of mayhem — including car crashes, destruction, explosions, fireworks and mass fights.”
“Dua and her team decided that it would be insensitive to watch the video, given what happened on and since October 7.e.”
In a statement posted on social media in October, Lipa wrote: “Every day that passes, my heart aches for the people of Israel and Palestine.
“We pray for the people who lost their lives in the terrible attacks in Israel.
“It is sad to witness the unprecedented suffering in Gaza, where 2.2 million people, half of them children, endure unimaginable hardships.
“I am desperately hoping for a ceasefire in Gaza right now and am calling on governments to stop the unfolding crisis.
“Our hope is to find the empathy to recognize this terrible humanitarian situation.”
Lipa, who is believed to be performing at the Glastonbury festival in the summer of 2024, was this week announced as the UK’s highest-earning singer.
