The (easy) recipe for tiramisu-style yule log

Here we are, finally it’s the day of the year when we binge the most. What if you surprised everyone by making the Yule log yourself? Don’t panic, it’s easy to do.

When we say yule log we often think of a boring preparation, full of butter and whipped eggs. What if I told you we could do things differently? Come on, I’m kind, I will share my knowledge with you. How selfless he is, I know. It’s a bit like the spirit of Christmas, isn’t it?

The quick and easy recipe for tiramisu-style yule log

To make this recipe you will need:

  • 1 small stick of cold liquid cream
  • 250 g of mascarpone
  • 3 tablespoons of icing sugar
  • 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • A cup of cold black coffee (or cold milk chocolate if you don’t like coffee)
  • 30 tablespoons biscuits (yes, ladyfingers)

Mix the cream, mascarpone and sugar with an electric whisk, forming an eight. Stop stirring when the mixture thickens.
Dip the biscuits with a spoon in coffee (or chocolate) and place them on a sheet of baking paper to form 3 rows of 10 biscuits, glued together.
Add the mixture to the biscuits, and roll up the sheet of baking paper with the mixture – the ladyfingers and the mixture – until it delicately forms a sausage.
Hop, it goes in the fridge for 2 hours, as is.
When ready, gently unroll the sheet of baking paper to remove it completely, leaving the log in its large rolled sausage shape. Gently spread the rest of the mascarpone mixture all over the pudding. Finally, sprinkle with cocoa powder and chocolate flakes and add small Christmas decorations to make it pretty. And here it is!
