The singer admitted that she knew about her lover’s difficult childhood even before the publication of his book, in which he spoke openly about his late mother, who used illegal substances. “Rich and I knew everything about each other from the day we met,” she says in an interview. “It was really emotional reading about her mom because obviously she’s not with us, so I’ve never met her,” she explained.
He also shared a funny moment. “My music always plays when Richard is traveling by plane. We can’t tell if it’s because they know we’re together or if it’s just that way,” laughs the singer.
