Among the things that make up the series Sex and the city if cult, it obviously takes fashion into account, right from the end credits. The character of Carrie Bradshaw, played by actress Sarah Jessica Parker, notably wears a pink top combined with a white tutu etched into fans’ retinas. For the record, this ruffled skirt was made using an old piece of white tulle found in a $5 clothing bin in New York, by costume designer Patricia Field. This outfit is auctioned during an exceptional event organized by Julien’s Auctions: “Unstoppable: Signature Styles of Iconic Women in Fashion”.

During this auction, the famous newsprint dress designed by Dior for the autumn-winter 2020-2021 period by John Galliano, worn by Carrie Bradshaw in the third season, will also be up for grabs.
There will also be other creations, such as an Yves Saint Laurent dress by Audrey Hepburn. A Givenchy dress worn by Princess Grace of Monaco. Sumptuous, richly embroidered Dolce & Gabbana trousers worn by Cher. Or a black and white Princess Diana dress by Catherine Walker. If you want to bid to acquire one of her pieces at auction, you have until January 11, 2024. You never know, if there’s a misunderstanding, it might work out. For my part, I will be bidding on the dress worn by Paris Hilton for the cover of her first album released in 2006, so please don’t outbid.
