“Perpetrators of sexual and gender-based violence have no place in our places of learning and impunity must end. In this context, we believe that the trust between the management and the student community is broken. Mathias Vicherat must therefore set an example and resign immediately” the Unione Etudiante had already declared upon the announcement of his police arrest, as recalled Publication.
Mathias Vicherat took the reins of Sciences Po Paris in November 2021, because his predecessor, Frédéric Mion, had to resign in February after concealing suspicions of incest against political scientist Olivier Duhamel. The Duhamel case had paved the way for free speech in political studies institutes (IEPs) on the topic of sexual violence, coordinated under the hashtag #SciencesPorcs.
Management abuses #Political Science : Descoings, Duhamel, Mion, Vicherat…
– There is no “curse” for #Political Science
– There is only a blinding self and a feeling of arrogance that fuels a feeling of impunity https://t.co/tM9k9Sh6cI—Chronik (@Chronikfr) December 5, 2023
