According to Page Six, King III. As a sitting monarch, Charles brings a whole new meaning to life at court. The British king’s strict demands on Buckingham Palace staff are revealed in a new book, The End Game Within the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Struggle for Survival, by royal biographer Omid Scobie.

Scobie writes that Charles, 75, has clear expectations when it comes to cooking. So, for example, soft-boiled eggs need to be cooked for “four minutes – no more, no less”, otherwise he sends the dish angrily to the kitchen. The Tsar also insists on traveling with “perfectly steamed 1,000-thread-count sheets.” Charles “never throws away his old shoes”; instead, he gives them to a shoemaker to give them new life, but this leaves the shoes nearly beyond repair. On top of everything is toothpaste, which must definitely come from a silver dispenser, as the author writes.
