Flavie learned of his HIV status when he was 21 years old. Near to miss, testifies to show that we can grow old, work, have a married life, despite HIV. He denounces a taboo culture, which pushes HIV-positive people to remain silent for fear of prejudice and serophobia, that is, systemic discrimination against people living with HIV:
Serophobia, PrEP, Undetectable = Untransmittable: fighting HIV misconceptions
In another video to miss, two people living with HIV were interviewed about the deeply held misconceptions surrounding the human immunodeficiency virus. In our REACT format, the general director of Sidaction Florence Thune and Andréa Mestre explain what being HIV positive entails, what PrEP or pre-exposure prophylaxis is (preventive treatment which consists in taking Truvada or its generics which is a medicine against HIV to prevent infection with the virus) and how to ask someone if they are” clean » is problematic:
In short, the epidemic is not over and information is power, so remember to inform yourself and undergo regular tests to better combat HIV and the prejudices that surround it. Finally, let us remember, as mentioned in these videos, that an HIV-positive person who takes the treatment well and therefore finds himself with an undetectable viral load cannot therefore transmit it. Undetectable = Not transmittable.
