Michael Mann’s high-octane biopic Ferrari has been announced as the closing film of Saudi Arabia’s third Red Sea International Film Festival, which runs from November 30 to December 9 in the port city of Jeddah.

The film, starring Adam Driver as the legendary Italian racing driver and entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari and Penelope Cruz and Shailene Woodley as his wife and lover respectively, celebrated its world premiere in Venice and has since been screened at numerous festivals.

The gala screening on the closing night is the MENA premiere of the film. Jeddah provides a fitting backdrop, having hosted the first three editions of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix since 2021 on the waterfront Corniche circuit.

The festival also unveiled the titles playing in the International Spectacular section and gave MENA premieres to high-profile titles from the past year.

This includes the biopic about Sofia Coppola Priscillathe drama by Ava Duvernay OriginJohn Woos silent night and that of Hayao Miyazaki The boy and the heron.

The cast also includes Yann Mounir Demange Dammy with Riz Ahmed and Léa Domenach Bernadette (The first lady), in which Catherine Deneuve plays the French First Lady Bernadette Chirac.
