“A collective approach”: for Neige Sinno, CIIVISE and the authors move forward together against incest

In this interview, Neige Sinno confided that he used the work of CIIVISE as a tool to write his book, which is both a personal narrative of his incest experience and an essay on sexual violence. She explains that the commission’s data allowed her to understand the collective scope of its problemthus deconstructing distorted representations : “One in ten people is a victim of incest, these results help society to integrate it. »

“I had this fear that by telling my story only from my point of view, others wouldn’t feel reflected”, she also confided, before mentioning her colleagues including Vanessa Springora (Consent) and Camille Kouchner (The large family):

We are just at the beginning and we are trying to pass the baton, to give as many points of view as possible so that as a society we finally ask ourselves this question. This is all the more crucial as there are so many of us.
