It’s raining, it’s starting to get cold, Halloween has already passed, but Christmas hasn’t arrived yet. It’s the perfect time to make this delicious pumpkin pie recipe and tuck some delicious slices under a blanket, in front of a set, or with a book.
Pumpkin pie recipe
To make this recipe you will need:
- 800 g pumpkin (or canned pumpkin puree)
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 20 cl of liquid crème fraîche
- 1 shortcrust pastry (or shortcrust pastry, your choice)
- 150 g of sugar
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Start by steaming the cut squash (or opening the can). Once ready, prepare a puree. In a salad bowl, mix it with the eggs, sugars, salt, nutmeg and cream. Mix, mix, the mixture should be very homogeneous and smooth. Roll out the dough on a suitable plate and prick it, then add the mixture on top. Toss, goes in the oven for 30-40 minutes!
FYI, the cake tastes much better cold than warm, so wait a bit before jumping on it.
