The army said troops found the remains of kidnapped 19-year-old soldier Noa Marciano “from a building next to Al-Shifa Hospital”.
It confirmed her death this week without naming the cause. Hamas said she was killed in Israeli bombings.
The army said Thursday that soldiers found the body of another hostage near Al-Shifa. Yehudit Weiss (65) was kidnapped from the kibbutz community of Beeri.
However, the Hamas-controlled health ministry said on Friday that 24 patients had died in the past two days due to power outages.

“In the last 48 hours, 24 patients died in different wards because essential medical equipment stopped working due to the power outage,” said Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the ministry.
The ministry said on Monday that 27 adult intensive care patients and seven babies had already died as Gaza’s largest hospital ran out of fuel to run its generators.
The health facility has become a focal point of Israel’s war against Hamas, with Israel claiming Islamist militants use a tunnel complex under the hospital to stage their attacks. Hamas has repeatedly denied the allegations.
The health ministry said the raid destroyed medical supplies at the hospital, where the UN said 2,300 patients, staff and displaced Palestinians had sought shelter before Israeli forces invaded.
