The General Manager of Channel One has taken the initiative to create Intervision, an international song contest that would be similar to Eurovision.

According to TASS, Konstantin announced this at a meeting of Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova with the heads of foreign delegations. “There will be no political restrictions or influence in this contest. This is a free platform where all countries can present examples of popular music. This will be a singing competition judged by a national jury. “There will be a permanent organizing committee where the rules will be determined,” said the director general, adding that he expects the participation of BRICS countries and invites other countries to participate.
