As we reported yesterday, Warner Bros. tabled the finished film for both a theatrical release and a Max version, instead of taking an estimated $30 million write-down on the $70 million production. This is despite the fact that there are films missing from the 2024 theatrical release calendar, as several titles have been delayed due to the actors’ strike. This is the third time the Zaslav government has canceled a film, the other two being by Max Batgirl And Scoob Vacation Destination! which at the time of cancellation was not yet fully polished.
