Trump co-defendant Kenneth Chesebro pleads guilty in Georgia election meddling case

Kenneth Chesebro, an attorney and one of 19 defendants in the election interference case in Fulton County, Georgia, pleaded guilty today to a misdemeanor charge.

Chesebro pleaded guilty to conspiracy to file false documents, avoiding a trial set to begin next week. During a cable news hearing, he was sentenced to five years of probation, 100 hours of community service and $5,000 in restitution. Chesebro reportedly worked with Trump and his team on a plan to install a group of “fake voters” in the state, even though Joe Biden won the electoral votes in Georgia.
