Seven testimonies, three complaints, but no conviction. During the course of this investigation, seven young women were interviewed by the child protection brigade, of whom three made complaints. They explained that they met the YouTuber on dating apps, on social networks or even in the evening.
Elderly between 17 and 19 years oldthey had, at the time, exchanged messages of a sexual nature with the adult content creator 36 years old. These conversations were followed by exchanges of sexual photos and then, for some of them, sexual intercourse.
They all explained to the investigators what they felt constraints have these relationships, because they were under a form of influence from Norman Thavaud. This is due to the YouTuber’s notoriety, but also because he told them that he would not stay in contact with them if they refused to have a sexual relationship with him.
According to the prosecution, the consent “was not deceived”
But the prosecution ruled out minor corruption because «the age of the girls at the beginning of the contact was never specified, and that they did not have a physical appearance or language that suggested the accused had a particular attraction for children or infantile bodies»reported to theFrench media agency.
The charges of rape and sexual assault were also not accepted. In 2021, a survey ofUrbania had already collected the testimony of Maggie Desmarais, one of the complainants, then 16 years old, accused Norman Thavaud of exploiting his notoriety to obtain sexual messages and photos.
