The protein ball is an easy to prepare, delicious and vitamin-rich snack. Basically, it’s the perfect snack if you want to pamper yourself while staying healthy. Although in most cases these gourmet balls are sold ready-made, you can also make them at home, in less than 15 minutes. As ? Thanks to a recipe, found in the book The power of healthy food by Ferran Adriàpublished by RBA editions.
The recipe for protein balls for snacking
To make this recipe you will need:
- 40 g of oatmeal
- 30 g of almond powder
- 30 g of plums or dates
- 20g grated coconut
- 10 g of almond, peanut or cashew butter
- 3 tablespoons oat milk
- 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Only three steps are needed to make these protein balls.
- Use a blender to mix and grind all the ingredients listed above. Once they have formed a sort of paste you can stop the process.
- With the help of an ice cream scoop, make small mounds of dough and mix them between your hands until they form compact balls. Repeat the operation with all the dough.
- Sprinkle the balls with grated coconut and place them in the fridge to cool.
