It’s hard, very hard, not to love chouquettes. First of all because it’s the name of the cutest pastry shop in the world, and then because damn, it’s so good! And you know what? We discovered how to make them by diving into Tiffany Cruchou’s delightful book entitled Cookbookpublished by Prime Edizioni.
Chouquettes: the easy recipe
To fill you up (about 12 chouquettes), you will need:
- 125 g of flour
- 250ml of water
- 80 g of butter
- 3 eggs
- Coarse grain sugar
First, start by preheating the oven to 180°C. Heat the water in a saucepan and add the butter, bringing everything to the boil. Remove the pan from the heat and add the flour all at once. Mix and leave to cool in a corner. Once ready, add the eggs one at a time and mix gently.
All right ? Well, it’s time to get out the famous piping bag (if you don’t have one you can use a plastic piping bag). Arrange the cream puffs on a baking tray, previously covered with baking paper. Then add the coarse sugar and, quickly, in the oven for 12 minutes.
