Central Partnership has released the first images from the fantastic blockbuster The Wizard of Oz, set to hit theaters on December 26, 2024. The film will be based on Alexander Volkov’s novel of the same name.
This is the story of a girl named Ellie who finds herself in an enchanted land and goes to the Wizard of the Emerald City with her faithful friend Totoshka (the hero’s dog). Along the way, he meets the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion. Some of the heroes mentioned can be seen in the published images.
Runet users met the images of the characters with criticism. Thus, the audience compared the bloody-faced and iron-mouthed heroine with Hannibal from The Silence of the Lambs and Bastinda, played by Svetlana Khodchenkova, with the White Witch from The Chronicles of Narnia.
