Hello to all fashionistas! Your fashion editor is in touch. There are so many trends and brands in my world that I decided to keep an online diary where I would take notes on the most important things in the fashion world. And although such diaries are often called personal, mine are open to all readers – so that you are aware of the most important ones.
This hot week has been hot in every way. First, The Fashion Vibes hosted the Russo Turisto party at SPIEF, where our team shined (in every sense). Second, there were several iconic shows that were impossible to miss. Third, the MSCHF brand (known to everyone thanks to the red boots) presented the smallest bag.
There have been some really interesting events this week, so I suggest you join me on a little digital journey through the latest news in the fashion world and learn a little more about our domestic brands, advertising campaigns and collections. Shall we begin?
Fashion Week kicked off with the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2024 menswear fashion show. Anthony Vaccarello exhibited a big fashion show, this time at the Neue National Gallery in Berlin, built by architect Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe. Models dressed in incredibly sexy outfits walked an imaginary runway in a glass hall. And yes, it was almost all black and transparent. In general, everything I like. The collection includes jackets with monumental shoulders, sheer see-through blouses and a long train (a very theatrical detail I’ve been really looking forward to on the red carpet) and, of course, animal print items. My favorite is the leopard coat.
Summer is the time to fall in love. By the way, this is not only our opinion, but also the opinion of the “TVOE” brand team. There’s been a limited drop in romance comics this week. Love … Yeah, yeah, the stuff we buy gum on. The collection has become a reminder of the importance of spending time with your loved ones and talking about your feelings. Men’s and women’s cotton t-shirts are available in white, black and lilac. In addition to the plain blouse, the line features new stripes and tie-dye prints that are especially relevant this season. Romantic fall is already presented in the stores of the brand and on its official website.
If you follow what secular Moscow representatives wear, you probably know the Rushev brand by Georgy Rushev. And if you’re not familiar with the brand itself, you’ve definitely seen Vahue embroidered “talking” earrings. More recently, the assortment has been replenished with a new collection inspired by celestial bodies and the power of their influence on humans. The brand flirts with metals, natural stones and silhouettes without forgetting its main goal of emphasizing the unique character of everyone who can boldly tell their story to the world.
Where can I find a dress that fits me perfectly? My answer is in the Russian brand 001pax. Its founder, Pavel An, is a graduate of the London School of Design Central Saint Martins and has worked at the designer David Koma studio. I think that already says a lot. The collection of the young brand, which emerged in 2020, includes deadly maxi dresses with low-cut back, textured dresses in fine knitwear, mermaid skirts and tie-back tops.
What to go to parties and dates in the summer? Of course, deadly corsets (they’re experiencing a renaissance right now) and sexy dresses. They can be found in the collection of the Russian brand 2Mimor. The site offers options for all tastes and colors. Do you want a corset with rhinestones? Easy. Dreaming of a velvet model? Yes please. But my personal favorite is a rich red dress with a bodice top.
Big fashion brands have been out of the industry for a long time and they don’t just make clothes, shoes and accessories. Some make kitchen utensils, garden tools and even beach gear. By the way, the nautical theme is now so relevant that they even presented their Gucci and Jacquemus branded beaches. What will happen next is something that no one can predict.
