This year, part of the The Fashion Vibes editorial team went to the Northern capital to visit a large-scale festival in honor of Russia Day and celebrate the main holiday of our country on a grand scale. And I must say that the 635 kilometer journey was definitely worth it. Gazprom Arena gathered more than 100 thousand visitors. They had the opportunity to enjoy the entertainment program, participate in interactive workshops and dance with the stars who performed their hits that day.
DAVA, VAVAN, Anatoly Tsoi, Anet Sai, Sergey Lazarev, Amirchik, Zhenya Ershov, Sasha Stone, OWEEK, KAYA and other artists performed for guests and residents of the city, whose traces turned out to be known to a large half of Petersburgers. by heart. Of course, we never doubted the popularity of the artists, but we could not imagine that the adult generation of Russia listens to DAVA or Amirchik tracks. Whatever we said at the event organized by Gazprom-Media Holding, a lot was new for us.
This day was generous with important events. On the occasion of the holiday, Russian Sports Master and Insight People resident Sergey Boytsov parachuted in the colors of the Russian flag from the Lakhta Center, the tallest skyscraper in Russia and Europe. Meanwhile, the jump of the athlete entered our country’s Book of Records. Going up the stairs of Lakhta Center was no less memorable. Just imagine: 89 athletes representing different regions of Russia cover a distance of 80 floors or 2240 steps. Would you accept such a test? We are personally prepared to observe it only from the outside.

Besides the entertainment program there were also interesting creative areas that we just couldn’t pass up. First, we visited the Yappy application platform, where you can see a seven-meter turquoise bear, chat with your favorite bloggers, shoot creative videos, win prizes and watch the hip-hop battle of artists from the Dance show on TNT.

Our next target was the “Our Business” area, where you can watch the athletes flipping cars, lifting loads to the platform and showcasing strength. By the way, some brave visitors even took part in competitions and tested their strength. The icing on the cake was the glorious international tournament of “Our Business” fighting league. To be honest, we’re not fans of this sport but that didn’t stop us from being in the crowd of mixed martial arts fans (there were a lot of them at the festival).

At the festival, an innovative creative cube, in which it is possible to travel around the regions of Russia and get to know the inhabitants of Insight People, especially attracted our attention.
When we got a little tired, we decided to appreciate the Gastronomy Map of Russia food festival, which features dishes from all over the country. We offer guests Kabardino-Balkarian khychins, Ossetian pies, Buryat buuzy, stroganina, crab belyashi, Russian pancakes and pies, Tatar echpochmaks and classic St. They were offered to try Petersburg sweets.
