Do you remember the satanic-inspired sneakers with integrated drops of blood by Lil Nas X in collab’ with MSCHF? This American artistic collective accustomed to scandal is doing it again in a completely different segment of fashion: a luxury bag, from the Louis Vuitton maison, in a miniaturized version.

When MSCHF reproduces a microscopic version of a Louis Vuitton bag without permission
MSCHF reproduced Louis Vuitton’s OnTheGo model in photopolymer resin, in a format of 657 x 222 x 700 micrometres. Just to tell you that it’s more rikiki than rikiki. If you already realize that in the trendy minibags of the moment like Jacquemus’ Chiquito you can’t put anything, this new artwork takes the concept to the extreme, to the point of absurdity. The collective explains its action in a press release as follows:
“As a once functional object like a handbag gets smaller and smaller, its status as an object becomes more and more abstract until it is nothing more than a brand sign. Previous leather handbags still required a hand to carry: they become dysfunctional, inconvenient for the wearer. »

A joke soon exposed and sold at auction
So here’s a bag that fits in a pocket and one we’d quickly lose considering its speck of dust size. This object designed without the authorization of Louis Vuitton will be exhibited from June 20 to 24 in Paris, in a gallery located at 8 avenue de Matignon. Then it will be auctioned from June 19 to 27 by Joopiter (auction house founded by Pharrell Williams). We still haven’t figured out how much the minimum price will be, but we can already tell ourselves that this tiny MSCHF handbag is all a joke.
