Isabelle Huppert as the Queen of Scots for a single dance scene

For the revival of Robert Wilson’s “Mary said what she said” at the Théâtre de la Ville, the Dramathis podcast retraces this masterful interpretation by Isabelle Huppert. A precise, meticulous and mechanical incarnation on music by Ludovico Einaudi.

30 years after its adaptation ofOrlando by Virginia Woolf, the Texan director finds author Darryl Pinckney and Isabelle Huppert for a radical show : Mary said what she said. The only one on stage, set in motion by Fani Sarantari, depicts the last moments of Maria Stuarda, Queen of Scotland in the 16th century, sentenced to death by her cousin.
