In April, don’t uncover yourself by a thread. To help us cover ourselves, Diesel has collaborated with Durex to design his latest show in front of a mountain of condoms, but also to offer them in his stores, and to draw inspiration from them to create clothes.

Diesel x Durex, the sexiest collaboration of the spring
If sexual health topics aren’t already on everyone’s lips, this collaboration works in style to make progress. As foreseen by Diesel’s autumn-winter 2023-2024 fashion show, artistically directed by Glenn Martens, the Durex collection arrives in stores on April 28, 2023. In addition to the 300,000 Diesel x Durex condoms that will be distributed free of charge in Jeanneur’s Italian boutiques all over the world (even in the countries most resistant to sex education campaigns), will sell t-shirts, jeans and other caps with the logos of the two brands.

The latter have the initial letter D in common and delight in playing with double meanings in their communication (because ” fuck which means dick in English is often abbreviated to ” d », in common jargon). The Italian jeanser even rephrased his “For Successful Living” mantra to ” For a successful sex life to dress certain pieces.

Why does Diesel collaborate with Durex?
Through this collaboration, Diesel wants to reassert itself as a brand” synonymous with democracy, choice and sex positivity as human rights “, as its creative director Glenn Martens explained on the sidelines of the Diesel show:
“Sex positivity is amazing. At Diesel we like to have fun, but we mean business. Have fun, respect and protect each other. For a successful sex life! »

More than playful, this collaboration helps restore the image of the condom as a means of contraception and protection against STIs. As sexual and reproductive health rights appear to be on the wane around the world, it reminds us how lucrative sex can be, yes, but also political.
