Nile Rodgers will be the “Groovemaster” at Central Park Roller Disco Bowing in June

Have you heard about the new prom craze? This was the first line-up of Niall Rogers and Bernard Edwards’ 1978 club hit “Le Freak”, starring Chick.

Disco passed away shortly thereafter, but is now rising from the grave in a stunning new attraction that will debut in New York’s Central Park this summer.

DiscOasis, as it is called, is known as “the theatrical, musical and engaging disco experience”. It will be located in Central Park’s historic and cult square from June 16 to October 1. The best news is that the Grammy and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame winner will be led by Niall Rogers as the “Groovemaster” and music curator of the project.

Made with the Immersive constellation in association with Live Nation and the Los Angeles Media Fund, The DiscOasis offers open day skate sessions and an impressive nightlife experience.

The experience took place in Los Angeles last year, but now it returns to what many consider the club’s hometown. ,

Rogers, of course, knows how the party started. In addition to Chic, he has worked with Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, Daft Punk, Duran Duran, Lady Gaga and others.

A team of skate artists will bring The DiscOasis to life with live performances every night and, beyond the plaza, the DiscOasis will have a dance floor, local DJs, cafes, games, installations, photo booths and more. Part of this amount will benefit “Somos una Familia”, which supports cultural diversity and youth.
