Guy Ritchie is in trouble. The British director was sued. According to Variety, this was done by screenwriter Miki De Hara last month.

Documents that reached the publisher allege that Guy Ritchie had instructed the man to write the script for the sequel to the gangster movie “Rock and Roll.” The basic requirement is that De Har should be based on life experience. In 2018, he submitted a script about a hero running a banned substance business. But in the end, Guy Ritchie refused to work, explaining that “the time of gangster movies has passed.” At the same time, the director also released The Gentlemen movie starring Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell and Charlie Hunnam in 2020.
De Hara claims it’s an “important” copy of the film’s script. According to the lawsuit, The Gentlemen copies their characters, attributes, and “unique aspects of the plot.” The screenwriter stated that Guy Ritchie did not try to contact him before the project was released. Now he’s demanding more than $250,000 (15,440,850 – Print), including a share of the profits of the film.
