James Franco will star in an action thriller mak For detective singing helmsman Juan Amiel.
The title, which is Meyers Media Group’s first work, follows the story of two completely different types of police officers. Macy (Franco) is a corrupt and dangerously ruthless veteran officer, while Virgil Woods is a young rookie who believes he can change the system by helping cops like Mays from the inside. Inspired by racial injustice on American streets, Woods refuses to intimidate and pits his principles against immoral Macs, risking everything he believes in to stop Macy from destroying the city when Macy organizes a gang war to cover up his crimes. . .
Amiel is directed by David Chisholm and produced by Lawrence Stephen Myers, Randy Dennenberg and John Evangelidis. Brendan MacDonald and Kirk D’Amico will executive produce and Jonathan Taybel will serve as associate producer.
The film is in pre-production with filming set to begin in New Jersey later this year. Myriad Pictures will begin selling the world titles next week in Cannes.
