Two times RuPaul’s Drag Race Master Jinkx Monsoon will have a big role to play in the upcoming season Doctor who.
The latest addition to Russell T Davies’ Whoniverse is the singer, actress and drag artist who broke through by winning drag race Season 5 is then crowned as the Queen of Queens In Drag Race All Stars season 7
The monsoon is coming Doctor who after completing a sell-out run on Broadway playing Matron ‘Mama’ Morton in Broadway’s longest running show, Chicago. Her run on Broadway was a historic moment for the LGBT+ community, as she became the first drag queen to play the role.
You are one of several different cast members that have been added, including Ncuti Gatwa, the new Doctor and cardiac arrest Starring Yasmin Finney. The BBC has not released any details about the characters Monsoon and Finney will play.

Davies added: “In a galaxy of comets and supernovae, here comes the biggest star of them all. Jinx Monsoon is on a collision course with the TARDIS and Doctor who will never be the same.”
Monsoon joins the show just months after striking a landmark deal with Disney+ to acquire the show’s rights outside the UK and Ireland.
With a bigger budget and Bad Wolf on board as co-producer, Davies fleshed out his ambition to expand the Whoniverse, and a spin-off with Jemma Redgrave is in the works. Davies recently said an episode of the new series was “one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life”.
