Why did the royal family miss the christening of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been featured on the front pages of the Western press again. The fact is that the couple baptized their daughter Lilibet in California. The news came from a friend of the couple. She said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex held an intimate ceremony to which relatives and friends were invited. Among the guests were Charles III, Camilla Parker-Bowles, Kate Middleton and Prince William. However, members of the royal family missed the solemn event.

Some may assume that relatives refused to be baptized because they were still offended by Harry and Meghan, but this is not so. Today, the royal court published a program of events for the British family on the social network. Apparently, due to the large amount of work, they did not have the opportunity to visit California.

Recall that at the beginning of the year Harry published his memoirs. They seem to have permanently ruined his relationship with his royal relatives. In the book, the Duke of Sussex talked about the intimate details of his life, his hobbies with illegal substances, his arguments with Prince William, and his military service. But the prince did not stop there. Soon after, he gave several interviews, where he walked among his relatives.

Despite this, Harry and Meghan were invited to the coronation of Charles III, which will take place on May 6. Traditionally, the ceremony will be held at Westminster Abbey. Something tells us the couple will refuse to visit.
