In the 2023 Michelin Guide winners, less than 10% of female chefs were awarded

The very prestigious guide that rewards the stars unveiled its palmarès on Monday 6 March. Few women have been entitled to the supreme distinction.

On Monday 6 March, the flagship of French gastronomy was in Strasbourg. THE Michelin guide has unveiled its 2023 list of the best gourmet restaurants in France.

Georgiana Viou, the only solo chef to boast a star in the 2023 Michelin Guide

Among the big winners, Alexandre Couillon, chef of La Marine, on the island of Noirmoutier (Vendée), who is the only one to have won a third star in France. In addition to his triumph, 44 restaurants received a star. But among these distinctions, only one solo chef has been decorated. This is Georgiana Viou, head of the Rouge restaurant in Nîmes.
