Australia’s Foxtel renews content deal with Warner Bros.  Discovery

Foxtel Group and Warner Bros Discovery have renewed their multi-year content deal, with the Australian pay-TV operator and streamer continuing to offer Australian shows HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros and Discovery.

In announcing the deal, which covers the Foxtel platform and its streaming service Binge, the two companies hinted at future flexibility as Warner Bros. Discovery is promoting its plans for its own streaming service in the region.

However, they were firm in their assertion that Foxtel and Binge will continue to support Warner Bros. to carry Discovery programming in Australia, including current and future seasons of HBO’s most popular series, such as: home of the dragon, The last of us, successor And The White Lotus.

The deal also includes upcoming HBO original series such as the idol, Plumber in the White HousePark Chan-wooks The sympathizerwith Robert Downey Jr. and The palace with Kate Winslet. Upcoming Max Originals covered by the deal include love to death, Dune: the chorus, The dough turnoff The Penguin And duster Series by JJ Abrams.

Also included in the deal are recurring seasons of HBO original series such as euphoria, True Detective: Nightland And PerryMason; Recurring seasons of the Max Original series included And just like that…, The sex lives of college girls And Peacekeeper; Warner Bros. TV series and movies, including dune 2, Aquarius And Barbie.

In addition, Foxtel Group’s platforms will offer Warner Bros Discovery channels, including Discovery, Discovery Turbo, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet, CNN International, Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

It will ultimately give Australians greater access to the world-class stories and popular brands that Warner Bros. Discovery is known for.”
