Fears are growing that Russia is planning a false flag chemical weapons incident in Ukraine.
Russian state media went into a frenzy this morning when they claimed the US and its allies were planning a chemical weapons attack.
The allegations come from Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of Vladimir Putin’s radiation, chemical and bio forces.
But the madness bears the hallmarks of a Russian operation to blame the West for its own attack.
Moscow has repeatedly used such tactics in the war in Ukraine, while Kiev has accused Russia of “renewed provocation” and a “probable false flag” by Putin’s forces.
Kirillov claimed that John Sullivan, former US ambassador to Moscow, warned at a conference that Russia was planning to use chemical weapons in the war in Ukraine.

“We consider this information to be the intention of the United States itself and its accomplices to carry out a provocation with toxic chemicals in Ukraine,” Kirillov said.
He claimed chemicals were brought to Kramatorsk by train, escorted by “foreign nationals”.
They are said to be housed at the Kramatorsk metallurgical plant.
Kramatorsk is located in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.
About 16 sealed boxes were unloaded, including several substances labeled BZ, a substance banned under the Chemical Weapons Treaty that causes acute psychosis, disorientation, hallucinations and memory loss.
He claimed the US had repeatedly made “false” allegations of chemical attacks as provocations for years.

“The cargo was placed on American-made armored vehicles that drove to the contact line as part of the column,” the Russian general claimed.
Protective equipment against chemical attacks was also provided, he claimed.
“The facts of the simultaneous delivery of toxic chemicals and protective equipment, on the other hand, indicate an attempt to carry out large-scale provocations by using the psychotropic chemical warfare agent BZ during the conflict,” Kirillov said.
But he provided no evidence to support such claims.
“Washington expects that the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict will make it more difficult for the international community to launch an effective investigation that will allow the real organizers and perpetrators to evade responsibility while shifting the blame to Russia,” Kirillov claimed.
He said Russian forces in Ukraine “have the equipment and technology to identify the potential use of toxic substances and address this situation.”
