Broadcast and cable networks are planning specials, a town hall and other coverage Thursday to mark the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Correspondents will also cover locations across the country as Vladimir Putin’s regime launches a winter offensive.

ABC News: Ian Pannell, who was in Kiev at the start of the war last year, reports for a special ABC News Live Standing Strong: A Year of War in Ukraine, debuts Thursday at 8:30pm ET. The special focuses on individuals in the war zone and the challenges they faced. David Muir continues to anchor World news tonight of Poland on Wednesday, and Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz and Senior White House Correspondent Mary Bruce are among those reporting from the region. Raddatz will also be in touch This week with George Stephanopoulos as the co-presenter of the Sunday programme.
CBS News: By 60 minutes On Sunday, senior foreign correspondent Holly Williams will report from Kherson, the first major city captured by the Russians before the Ukrainian military forced them to retreat. Williams’ account follows that of Scott Pelley 60 minutes Report last Sunday on Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
CBS News senior foreign correspondent in Kiev, Charlie D’Agata, will host a special celebration of CBS News Streaming’s anniversary with the team from New York’s Studio 57 at 12:00 PM ET Thursday.
CNN: The network hosts a town hall, Russian invasion of Ukraine a year later Thursdays at 9:00 PM ET, simulcast on CNN International and CNN en Español Fareed Zakaria will feature guests National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and US Agency for International Development Administrator Samantha Power to a live audience in the US and moderates from Ukraine.
Christiane Amanpour hosts her CNN International Show Aman casting from Warsaw and Kiev, while Kaitlan Collins co-hosted in Poland CNN this morning.
Chief International Correspondent Clarissa Ward will moderate Sunday at 8:00 PM ET CNN special report: The Will to Victory: Ukraine at War, in which she visits many of the places she has covered over the past year, including Kharkiv, where she was when the invasion began. The special will also air on CNN International and CNN en Español.
Sunday at 15:00 on CNN International, John Vause is the presenter Music that makes the difference, which looks at Ukrainian artists who have used their talent to draw the world’s attention to what is happening in the country. It will be shown at 7:30 PM ET on CNN en Español.
CNN en Español will have a special Ukrainian edition of it Conclusions Wednesday at 9pm ET, anchored by Fernando del Rincon. On Friday, Ana Maria Luengo-Romero organizes a special edition of Panorama Global at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the special Russian War on Ukraine: A Year Later moderated by Rafael Romo with correspondent Gustavo Valdes.
NBC News/MSNBC: Richard Engel, who has been reporting since the beginning of the war, will be the moderator Commissioned by Richard Engel: Ukraine’s Secret Resistance at 10pm ET Fridays on MSNBC and streaming on Peacock. The special follows the stories of residents of occupied Kherson who joined the Ukrainian underground movement to secretly resist the Russian military.
MSNBC will also have one Good morning Joe Thursday prime time special at 8pm with Joe Scarborough interviewing Foreign Secretary Antony Blinken and Sullivan.
Ali Velshi was on the ground in Ukraine covering MSNBC, including his weekend show Velschi And All in with Chris Hayes.
Keir Simmons will now host two documentary specials for NBC News, In Russia: the world And Putin’s war. The projects deal with the effects of the war on the Russians in Moscow.
