Ashland Hill backs four films, including horror reboot Return To Silent Hill, and hires VP of Investments: EFM

EXCLUSIVE: Ashland Hill Media Finance is financing a series of four films in various stages of production, including the horror reboot by Christophe Gans Return to Silent Hillbased on the popular video game Konami.

Producers Victor Hadida and Molly Hassell are behind it Return to Silent Hill, which oversees The Veterans for international distribution. We reported to the AFM about the project. The shooting will start soon.

Jesse V. LA and London-based Ashland Hill, which specializes in debt, gap and bridge financing, aims to underwrite 25 films a year. The company is led by managing partners Joe Simpson, Simon Williams and Jonathan Bross.

Previous credits are included The crow, 3 days Malay, FloodNeil Marshall duchessby Philip Noyce Quick Charlie with Pierce Brosnan, 57 seconds with Josh Hutcherson and Morgan Freeman and Shark Thriller, deep fear.

The company, which has been filling its ranks in recent months, also appointed Andy Wang as vice president, investments. Wang, who will be based in Toronto, comes from Royal Bank of Canada, where he was a relationship manager in the media and entertainment banking team.

Prior to RBC, Wang worked with Simon Williams at UK investment firm Ingenious. He began his career with stints at Protagonist Pictures, Voltage Pictures and UTA.
