Ozzy Osbourne ‘physically unable’ to perform Europe/UK dates, suggests tour may be canceled

In February 2020, Ozzy Osbourne canceled the North American leg of his “No More Tours 2” amid a host of health issues, including a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. At the time, he also said the degenerative condition was the least of his problems, citing “incredible pain” from a previous injury.

In an Instagram post late Tuesday, the Black Sabbath legend and former TV star The Osbourneswrote that he has “come to the realization that I am physically unable to fulfill my upcoming European/UK tour dates as I know I will not be able to manage the necessary travel.”

Later in the social media post, Osbourne hinted that he may be done touring. “I never thought my touring days would end like this,” he wrote. However, he added: “My team is currently developing ideas on where I can perform without traveling from city to city and country to country.” Ticket refunds are available at the time of purchase.

In 2019, the rocker suffered a fall that damaged his spine and required surgery. He later went to Switzerland to receive medical treatment. Today, he said he endured three surgeries, stem cell treatments, “endless physical therapy sessions” and more.

He made a brief appearance during the Bills vs. Rams 2022 NFL season premiered last September and also signed copies of his album Patient Number 9 in California that same week. Also in September 2022, it was announced that the BBC would be bringing back the MTV classic The Osbournes of Home in Roosta series that would follow Ozzy and his wife Sharon when they returned to the UK.

Here’s Osbourne’s full message from today:

“This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may all know, four years ago this month I had a serious accident that damaged my spine.

“My only goal during this time was to get back on the podium. My singing voice is good. But after three surgeries, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions and the most recent breakthrough Cybernics (HAL) treatment, my body is still physically weak.

“I am truly humbled by how you have patiently held on to your tickets all this time, but I have now come to the realization in good conscience that I am physically unable to do my upcoming European/UK tour. Dating as I know I couldn’t handle the travel. Trust me when I say the thought of disappointing my fans really F**KS me more than you will ever know.

“I never thought my touring days would end like this. My team is developing ideas for where I can perform without traveling from city to city and country to country.

“I want to thank my family…my band…my crew…my old friends @JudasPriest and of course my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty and support and for the life I never had. ever dreamed i would have it.

“I love you all…”
