CNBC fills in the hour starting at 7:00 PM ET Last calla business show hosted by Brian Sullivan covering money, culture and politics.
The new program occupies the old slot of The News with Shepard Smiththe news program is canceled in November.
CNBC President KC Sullivan, who wants the network to focus on its core business and financial news, announced the new program in a memo to employees, along with a number of other changes to CNBC’s lineup.
“Through panels, debates and newsmakers, Last call will not only take a fresh look at the top business topics of the day, but also shed light on the other key stories our viewers may have missed, all written in terms of what matters in the markets tomorrow.

Among the other changes: Sara Eisen moves closing bell to co-anchor the hour of 10 a.m. ET Squaw on the street, with Carl Quintanilla and David Faber. Squaw on the street will also be extended and replaced by an additional hour at 11 a.m. ET Technical inspectionwhich will now be seen as branded segments throughout the day.
The changes take effect at the end of February.
In 2022, Fox Business averaged 215,000 total viewers and CNBC averaged 211,000 during market hours of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET. In the 25-54 demo, CNBC averaged 42,000 and Fox Business averaged 22,000, according to Nielsen figures.
Overall, CNBC averaged 155,000 and Fox Business averaged 134,000. In the 25-54 demo, CNBC averaged 36,000 to Fox Business’ 14,000.
