The nominations for the EE British Academy Film Awards will be announced in London on Thursday via a live stream starting at 12 GMT/4 AM PST.
Actors Hayley Atwell and Toheeb Jimoh will unveil the nominations from BAFTA HQ at 195 Piccadilly.
One of the front-runners for awards is Netflix’s German-language World War I drama All quiet on the west side Front, which was longlisted in 15 categories, and Martin McDonagh’s tragic comedy The Banshees by Inisherinwhich ended up on 14 lists.
All quiet Longlist performance is the biggest sales by a non-English language film during the BAFTA longlist voting phase, which first started in 2021.
The BAFTA ceremony will take place at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Center on February 19 and will be broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK. Actor Richard E. Grant has been named as the presenter, while British presenter Alison Hammond will head up the BAFTA studio, a new behind-the-scenes stream launched for this year’s ceremony.
This year’s awards ceremony will be held in the Royal Festival Hall for the first time. The BAFTAs were previously held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Also new this year, the ceremony will culminate in a live broadcast of the final four categories for the first time in BAFTA history. In previous years, the event was pre-recorded and broadcast with a time delay.
