Actor Ben Savage who rose to fame in the 1990s sitcom boy meets worldmake an offer for congress.
Savage – a Democrat – is running for the 30th county seat currently held by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Burbank, according to documents filed today with the Federal Election Commission. Schiff is expected to run for US Senator Dianne Feinstein’s seat, although she has yet to make a formal announcement about her future.
Savage, 42, did not run for a seat on the West Hollywood City Council last year. Below is a photo from his city council campaign that he shared in October.
Savage played the lead role of Cory Matthews on ABC boy meets world from 1993-2000 and again the Disney Channel sequel girl meets world from 2014-2017.
He is the brother of actor/director Fred Savage.
