The of Great Britain Plimsoll Productions has hired format and distribution veteran Andrea Jackson as creative director of Factual Entertainment.
It is Plimsoll’s leading format and factual entertainment content development, packaging and executive production company.
In her new role, Jackson will report to Plimsoll CEO Grant Mansfield and join the company’s executive group, ITV Studios.
Plimsoll acquired Jackson’s freelance distribution company, Magnify Media, in 2020, five years after the company’s founding.
Magnify continued to operate independently after the sale, but will now “fully integrate with ITV Studios distribution”. The main distribution titles are Fox’s Malika: The Lion QueenBBCOne My unique B&B and that of ABC The Women of 9/11.
Jackson was managing director of DRG for eight years, which was sold to MTG before the catalog was resold to All3Media. She was also a co-founder of Zeal Entertainment

It currently has 20 shows in production, including The rise with Alex Honnold and Great migrations for National Geographic/Disney+ and A year on planet earth for fox. Most recently, James Cameron executive produced and narrated Benedict Cumberbatch supernatural launched on National Geographic/Disney+. Alan Eyres, veteran production and development manager, has also been appointed head of Plimsoll USA.
