TikTok is full of videos that should give us ideas to make some everyday things easier. Sometimes it works, sometimes we’re really into tureens.
Today the video that caught my attention is about the so-called super easy trick called “burrito” to put on the duvet cover in two steps, three movements. Works ? I investigated.
The “burrito” technique on TikTok
The trick seems simple enough, when you see it on video: just lay the duvet cover upside down, add the duvet on top, which is also flat, and roll it up like a spring roll. Then, we take the corners between them, tuck them inside the sausage, unroll it all and bam: that’s it Chocapics a clean duvet.
Yes well said so, it seems strange, but Watch the video belowis more eloquent than my confusing explanations:

Ok TikTok, does it really work? Since I’m a true reporter who likes to get to the bottom of it, I did the digging for you. Don’t thank me, because as incredible as it sounds, I got paid for it.
Duvet Cover on TikTok: A Quality Survey
Neither one nor two, so here I am invested with a mission of the utmost importance: try this technique that has made several thousand views.
To put that into context, I’m the worst person to put a duvet cover on. I use the so-called “ghost” technique, which has the principle of making me ENTER the cover, grab the corners, shake everything, get angry because it doesn’t work, smash everything in the middle of the bed, want to open the window to throw everything out with more or less calm before calling my boyfriend to fix it for me.
Yes, always to the extent, you’re starting to get to know me eh, the girl is not at all dramatic.
Anyway, here I am this morning standing on my bed, full of hope, duvet cover flat and turned over as directed, bare duvet placed on top, trying to roll everything up to make the best burritos.
I swear, I tried to keep calm. I swear, I tried to do everything as directed. I drove what was needed as it was needed, and it didn’t work at all. Without knowing why (although I very clearly blame my ability to use my hands), I ended up with balls in the roll, half the duvet out, the other half folded back, and the duvet cover jumbled.
After using my entire repertoire of insults, I threw everything on the floor and stormed out of my room. like a queenstating to anyone who would listen (namely my cat) that this thing was clearly made for boloss.

I let my man handle the mess that I walked away, being a good drama queen, and moved on.
Returning to the room 37 seconds later, I discover the perfectly worn duvet and cover, the made bed, and my life sharer proudly enthroned in the center of the room. Did it succeed where I had failed? History won’t tell us, for the sake of our couple.
Conclusion: TikTok tips, it can clearly cause a divorce.
