God Bless the Queen: 14 Iconic Dresses by Vivienne Westwood

Yesterday we lost another queen of the fashion world, this time. Legendary fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has passed away at the age of 82. In her 50 years of fashion, she has gone from being a rebel to a national treasure, completely revolutionizing the industry and most importantly visualizing British punk.

Only Westwood could come to Buckingham Palace without underwear, walk the runway of his colleague Yohji Yamamoto, and wear a British T-shirt with a bold God Save The Queen print on it. Last night we invited you to remember what her design genius consisted of, and now we decided to dive straight into the archive and see how the stars walked in the legendary Vivienne Westwood dresses.

The images created by the designer are still considered one of the most recognizable – a tight bodice, dropped shoulders and a draped skirt. In Westwood’s creations, Dita Von Teese and Carrie Bradshaw got married (however, the celebration never took place when it comes to Sex and the City’s protagonist), and Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively, Zendaya, and others shone. The British designer is on the red carpet in other outfits. We remember the brightest moments.
